Prepare yourself to be wowed as you savour the very best of Hawke’s Bay.

With thanks to support from Tourism Hawke’s Bay and their participating partners, this afternoon of activities are included in
the Full Registration and Tuesday Day Registration fee.

1.15pm – Following lunch, you will be invited meet in the registration area
1.30pm – Departure from Napier War Memorial Centre

You will be dropped back to the Emporium Bar at the Art Deco Masonic Hotel for a “de-brief” drink on us and the opportunity to share a story or two.

Choose one option and enjoy time with your industry friends whilst experiencing a taste of the Hawke’s Bay region.

Cape Coast E-Bike tour and Wine Tasting with Takaro Trails

Enjoy a fun, cruisy bike ride and experience the scenic Hawke’s Bay cycle trails in addition to enjoying some award-winning wine.

Departing directly from the Conference Centre, head out riding along Marine Parade, the spectacular coastal pathway. A 22km journey in total, enjoy iconic Hawke’s Bay views out to Cape Kidnappers and finish at Clearview Estate.

We’ll pass by Ātea a Rangi – the Māori Celestial Star Compass at Waitangi Regional Park, through the Clive wetlands- home to numerous birdlife, across Black Bridge and the mouth of the Tuki Tuki river, through Haumoana village to arrive in Te Awanga, home to Elephant Hill, Te Awanga Estate, and Clearview Winery.

Complete the trip at the acclaimed Clearview winery where you will enjoy a wine tasting before we shuttle you back to Napier.

Gannet Safari Overland

Journey from coast to cape, to the world’s largest most accessible Gannet colony in beautiful Hawke’s Bay New Zealand. Watch champion seabirds soar, swoop, dance and dive right before your eyes.

For over 50 years, Gannet Safaris has been guiding visitors to Cape Kidnappers Gannet Colony – the only tour that takes you overland within metres of these magnificent seabirds. Traveling on a modern fleet of 4x4 vehicles you will travel next along pristine coastline, over working farms, through native bush and to New Zealand’s largest privately-owned nature reserve – an untouched paradise for wildlife including gannets and a predator free space for kiwi birds and other rare birds to roam.

An adventure in itself, you will safari in style and comfort over picturesque Cape Kidnappers Station traversing riverbeds, broad rolling pastures, steep gullies and the most breath-taking views of Hawke’s Bay and beyond.

Art Deco Vintage, Gin & Wine exploration

Relive the glamour and style of the Art Deco era with a luxurious Vintage car tour including a Gin Tasting and a Wine tasting in the iconic Old Tobacco building.

Guided by your driver, in full Art Deco attire, enjoy fascinating commentary as you are driven in style through Napier and surrounding areas. You’ll learn about the earthquake that destroyed the city, hear stories of the people that led the rebuild, and discover the Art Deco style. En route you will stop at the majestic Napier Municipal Theatre - a unique experience available through Art Deco Trust only, where you will get to have a look inside the beautiful interior. Then on to Ahuriri where you will visit one of the most photographed buildings in New Zealand, the National Tobacco Company building.

Upon arrival, enjoy a unique wine tasting at the Urban Winery, one of the businesses now occupying the treasured space. Then hop next door to the National Distillery for a guided tasting through their award-winning Gin range catered to your specific tastes and supported with recommendations of appropriate mixes.

Iconic Wineries Experience

Journey through the vine and orchard lined Hawke’s Bay countryside and arrive at the spectacular Craggy Range Winery, situated under the escarpment of Te Mata Peak. Begin with a guided visit of the underground barrel hall, and fermentation cellars then taste through the current release wines from the Family Collection alongside our flagship Prestige Collection wine, Sophia, whilst exploring the site and learning an in-depth history of Craggy Range and our winemaking philosophy.

Then it is onto Black Barn Winery, beautifully situated on the Havelock North base of Te Mata Peak. Here you will be guided through a tutored tasting of the current release wines, and the odd hidden gem. Uncovering the elements of Black Barn that make them a popular visitor destination in Hawke's Bay.

After Black Barn, depending on time, it’s off to taste one of the lesser-known Havelock wineries, before a short trip back to the Art Deco capital.

Experience our culture of wine with a private, sensory journey through our craft.

Guided by our Sommelier, you will explore three major winegrowing regions of New Zealand, sampling limited-production wines from our family of fine wine estates. An interactive experience, we will awaken the senses tasting a range of wine varietals and styles, drawing exclusive samples direct from the barrel, and immersing in audio-visual delight in our intimate studio theatre.

Napier Maori Tours

We are Hawke’s Bay’s Eco-Cultural tours and proud to be Qualmark Gold accredited. We provide an intimately unique and inspiring cultural experience, journeying through our ancestral mountains, lands, waters, and history. Our tour site, Ōtātara Pā Historic Reserve, is ten minutes from the Napier City Centre. You will learn about our distinctive local Māori history while traversing through our 650-year-old village site, the largest and most outstanding fortified village in NZ in its time. You will also enjoy the amazing view of the Hawke's Bay. Leave a lasting kaitiaki legacy by planting a native tree together on behalf of your group that has been grown at our home nursery with aroha.
