Prue Daly


With over 20 years in the hospitality industry, Prue began her career with a coveted training placement at Accor, leading to various roles in business development and sales management. Her seven year tenure at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) garnered industry accolades, including being named National Business Development Person of the Year by Meetings and Events Australia.

In 2016, Prue joined the New Zealand International Convention Centre (NZICC) as Director of Sales & Marketing. Despite a construction site fire causing delays, she successfully navigated challenges positioning NZICC for future opportunities. Promoted to General Manager in April 2023, Prue is overseeing NZICC's opening in 2025, focusing on delivering a world-class experience, driving international bidding for a $90 million economic impact, and building a team committed to excellence, sustainability, community impact, and authentic New Zealand experiences that will leave a lasting impression on clients and guests.

Since joining the industry, Prue has been a passionate advocate for business events and is honored to be able to contribute back to the industry through her position on the BEIA board.
