Business Events are in Amanda’s blood. She was a Professional Conference Organiser (PCO) for over twenty years, during which time she owned and operated two professional conference organising companies – Medical Meetings and Six Hats.  After selling Six Hats she was the inaugural Business Development Manager at Hamilton Gardens for three years.  One of her many roles at Hamilton Gardens included managing and marketing the Gardens and Hamilton Gardens Pavilion to the MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences and events) sector as a venue for business events, conferences and functions.

Amanda has been Convention Bureau Manager at Hamilton & Waikato Tourism for the past four years and has grown the region’s business events reputation and lead the region to become the third largest for multi-day events.  She has developed the highly successful annual Business Events Waikato Showcase, annual business events symposium, BEWais networking events for Business Events professionals, and is the current Chair of the NZ Convention Bureaux committee.

Amanda is well known and respected in the MICE industry throughout New Zealand and brings her extensive experience as a PCO, venue manager and Convention Bureau Manager to the CINZ Board as a Gold Board representative.
