As Aotearoa’s newest purpose‑built event venue, NZICC offers 33 flexible spaces designed to support events of every scale and ambition. The venue’s story begins with its tangata whenua, Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei, who gifted the building the name Te Tumu — meaning “the tree stump”, symbolising a strong foundation where ideas can take root and flourish. This spirit guides how NZICC welcomes every guest with manaakitanga and honours the cultural narratives that shape its home. Among the key spaces, also named by Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei, Ariki Hall stands as the most expansive. With 6,708m² of adaptable floor area, it supports exhibitions, gala dinners, and large‑scale gatherings of up to 4,500 guests. From there, the venue flows into Te Wharau — a warm, light‑filled space framed by floor‑to‑ceiling windows, ideal for social occasions of up to 445 guests. Te Waha opens toward the harbour and the Waitākere Ranges, offering an inspiring backdrop for dinners, awards evenings, and networking events. Te Paepae Theatre, Aotearoa’s largest seated theatre, welcomes 2,852 guests and can transform into two smaller theatres or a flat‑floor space.
