Minor Hotels Australasia is excited to announce its arrival in the heart of Auckland with the Oaks Auckland Hotel. Ideally positioned minutes from Spark Arena, Britomart Transport Centre, top shopping precincts and the picturesque Auckland Waterfront, the 244-key hotel will welcome guests looking to experience downtown Auckland’s vibrant culture.
The launch of Oaks Auckland Hotel marks a significant milestone for the brand and highlights Minor Hotels’ commitment to strategic growth across Australasia. As Oaks evolves into a more lifestyle-focused offering, this property is designed to deliver an exceptional guest experience that reflects both the brand’s direction and Auckland’s distinctive spirit. With strong connections to Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei and the local community, the hotel aims to honour the cultural significance of Te Tōangaroa through meaningful and authentic experiences.
Following a $13 million refurbishment in 2020, the property offers modern hotel rooms, studios, and one and two-bedroom self-contained apartments, catering to short and extended corporate and leisure stays.
The refreshed food and beverage offering includes all-day dining venue DASH, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Bringing to life one of the key Oaks service hallmarks, the lobby will feature an inviting co-working space with barista-made coffee and the iconic Oaks lamington. A curated grab-and-go pantry will offer bespoke essentials, from reusable coffee cups to fresh produce. With wellness central, a new fitness centre will be developed, alongside community initiatives like a local run club, leveraging the hotel’s proximity to scenic Tamaki Drive.
