Located in the heart of Auckland City, The Aotea Centre houses New Zealand’s largest modern tiered auditorium, seating more than 2,000 people over three levels. Whether you are holding a conference, seminar, exhibition, award ceremony, product launch, cocktail party or gala dinner, the Aotea Centre has a space to suit.
The building boasts the latest cutting edge technology throughout. All spaces have both wired and wireless connections and rooms can be easily data-linked making the venue ideal for large conventions requiring multiple rooms.
An exciting, phased development is underway to refurbish the Aotea Centre. The new-look is set to impress with fresh lighting, floor and wall treatments, new accessible toilet facilities, and new bars and exhibition spaces on all floors. Improvements to accessibility and navigation includes wayfinding in te reo Māori and Braille, with audio in the lifts and contrasting materials at the top and bottom of stairs and ramps. New names for the rooms and public spaces have been selected correlating to their position in the building and also reflecting our unique geographical setting of Tamaki Makaurau. The refurbished Aotea Centre will make it the ideal location for both business and pleasure.
