Conference Venues and Facilities
There's a reason you take business events off site. Different surroundings for different results, right?
Lake Wanaka is the destination that can offer that difference. When every corporate venue looks the same, Wanaka’s venues are guaranteed to inspire and motivate your staff or delegates. With a variety of unique facilities capable of hosting functions up to 1,000 delegates, Wanaka has a versatile portfolio to suit most events from intimate offsite team meetings to large-scale trade exhibitions and everything in between.
A complete range of accommodation is available in Wanaka from hotels for large groups to boutique luxury lodges for exclusive corporate retreats; serviced apartments, motels, homely B&Bs and humble campsites.
With Mt Aspiring National Park in Wanaka's backyard there's no shortage of opportunities to experience the majesty of its glaciers, rainforest, waterfalls and mountains. Days can begin with a helicopter flight for breakfast on a glacier, then rendezvous with a jet-boat for an exhilarating ride into the wild, swap the jet-boat for a 4WD and finish the day watching the sunset over the lake from the top of mountain with a glass of local pinot noir.
For adrenaline junkies there’s the chance to skydive from 15,000ft over the Southern Alps; accelerate faster than a Formula 1 car in the world’s only 4-seater jet-sprint boat; or take the wheel of a sports car at the Southern Hemisphere’s only winter ice driving experience! If you prefer to slow down and indulge in exclusive luxury then a night at Minaret Station or lunch at the Whare Kea mountain chalet might be more your cup of tea – both only accessible by helicopter.
