This award winning 4+ star hotel offers flexible conference spaces that host from 10 to 230 delegates and the 280 accommodation rooms have recently been refurbished to reflect a light, contemporary feel.
The dedicated, self-contained conference centre is located on level 2 and is a one stop shop for your Event needs with 5 conference spaces, an expansive breakout space for catering and/or trade, a dedicated catering kitchen, on site audio visual technician, and an experienced professional conference team. Each of the 5 spaces features floor to ceiling natural light, integrated audio visual equipment, portable tap bar, and free WI-FI throughout the venue. You’ll have your very own dedicated professional events planner to assist in organising every detail, from catering menus and decorations, to taking care of all your needs right from your first enquiry.
Each accommodation room features a Rydges Dream Bed, fully equipped kitchenettes, and floor to ceiling windows maximising the scenic Wellington city views. Additional amenities include flat-screen televisions, mini-bars, individually controlled heating and an in-room safe to ensure your comfort levels during your stay. Unique to our spacious suites are laundry facilities, separate dining and living areas, dedicated work desks, and king bedrooms.
Grand Space
The largest conference room can cater up to 230 delegates’ theatre style or up to 160 delegates’ cabaret style. This space is ideal for large conferences, trade and gala dinners with natural light creating the perfect ambience for delegates, with dual data projection, flexible orientation and size of the space, portable tap bar available, and more.
Space 3
Located next to the Grand Space and catering for up to 50 delegates makes it a perfect breakout room for your conference. It is also great for training seminars and intimate dinners of up to 30 people.
Space 2
This space is similar to space three and is ideal for presentations, board meetings, and as an additional breakout space. It has in built data projection and pull down screens not to mention its own dedicated conference catering area.
Space 1
A stunning room located on the corner of the floor surrounding delegates with natural light. Perfect for boardroom and U-shape meetings and its stunning outlook on the city makes it ideal for smaller intimate dinners or breakfast presentations.
Pre-Function Space
The “PFS” creates the perfect entrance to the conference floor and is often used as a catering area for in-house conferences. With its own Espresso Coffee machine delegates don’t have to leave the floor, for café style coffee. This is an ideal space for cocktail functions, trade, and an area perfect for delegates to network.
Take advantage of our leisure centre with fitness studio, indoor lap pool, spa, and sauna. Or join colleagues down at Portlander Bar & Grill, the award winning restaurant and thriving hub of steak, whisky, and wine.

The award winning Portlander Bar and Grill is located on the ground floor and is renowned as Wellington’s premier steakhouse. The restaurant is all about superb cuts of meat, prepared to perfection, and finished in style. Bloody rare and rather well done - it’s the ideal place to greet and eat meat. For a stylish intimate affair, Portlander offers a 26 seater private dining area – prebookings are essential.
